New Project - Jacksons House
Perched high above Mt Eliza, Jacksons House is an architectural gem with breathtaking views across the bay.
While the home’s design has stood the test of time, the kitchen is now dated. Originally built 20 years ago, it’s ready for a modern refresh to align with the client’s desire for improved functionality and love of subtle green tones inspired by the surrounding nature.
The existing kitchen—a mix of mushroom brown and white cabinetry, a green splashback, and engineered stone—will soon make way for something truly spectacular.
Current State
We’re introducing neutral green cabinetry that whispers sophistication rather than shouts, paired with stunning Aida marble.
This marble, with its cream, brown, and gold veining, brings warmth and depth, tying in seamlessly with the strong original floorboards, oak cabinets in the adjoining spaces, and the client’s grey-green upholstery.
Creating a harmonious material and colour palette has been a delicate balancing act. It’s essential that the new design respects the home’s existing features while delivering a fresh, modern look. The result? A soft, elegant, and contemporary kitchen that feels perfectly at home in Jacksons House.

Beyond Aesthetics
Beyond aesthetics, this project is all about functionality. We’re replacing traditional cupboards with practical drawers, incorporating lift-up cabinetry and pull-out shelves in the appliance cupboards for those frequently used items. A pop-up power outlet in the island bench will keep the space sleek and organised, while LED lighting enhances usability and ambience.
Every detail of the cabinetry has been thoughtfully customised to suit the client’s accessibility needs, ensuring the kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful. From the contents of every drawer to the careful colour matching of existing bulkheads and air conditioning vents, nothing is overlooked.

The galley-style kitchen will also be softened with a curved island end, inviting people to gather and linger. It’s a subtle design element that makes a big impact, creating flow and connection within the space.
